I was very happy with the food here during our trip in March 2008. Large portions and excellent flavor.

The views from this restaurant are breathtaking! One overlooks a golf course with the ocean in the background. Behind you a lovely pool and the patio is lined with beautiful bougainvillea. The food is very good and the service is excellent. We liked it so much for dinner, we went back for lunch. Without a doubt, this restaurant offers an overall wonderful experience.

This is the place to be on Aruba for fine dinning on the highest standard available. You can compare this restaurant with a michelin star restaurant in Europe. The Chef is of Dutch (European)origin which you will find back in his creations. You do not have to choose from the menu but if you do you will find what ever a gourmand wants to find. Our recommendation is let the Chef surprise you with his feeling and taste menu. We enjoined his magic twice in a week and it was more then consistent. A brilliant appetizer of duck breast fillet influenced with citrus and 5 oriental spices. A well balanced shitake mushroom soup with fresh regianno Parmesan and truffle essence. Sweet bread sautéed with duck liver a small mash from potato and vegetables. Even a spoom is not forgotten in culinary event. As a main course we where treated a selection of the freshest fish you can find. A nice big chuck of sea bass complimented by half a main lobster and two slices of the best tuna money can buy. The dessert by itself was marvelous with cilantro and sesame combined with maracuja sorbet and a nice piece of pannacotta. This all served in a bowl with a cold soup of fresh strawberry and other fruits. The wine list is very good with some awesome champagnes (we enjoined the KRUG 1988(twice))
If we will visit Aruba we WILL visit this restaurant.

Many kudos to the Chef (Jim) and his staff.

The staff was outstanding, great attentive service and very friendly.
Our meal was delicious. Ken had the corn and crab soup. It was served in a bread bowl and was a generous portion, not to mention delicious! I had the open faced seafood ravioli and Ken had the grouper special. Both were delicious.
The chocolate peanut butter brownie was warm and goey with carmel sauce and ice cream. The best dessert I have had in a long time!
There was a musician playing the saxaphone and flute. It was very romantic. A must stop for anyone who enjoys great food and service and ambiance.

Outstanding! Absolutely our best meal ever in Aruba. The restaurant and patio were beautiful. Our waiter, Eduardo, was great. The food was delicious. We had a great bottle of wine, the sea bass and scallops and the famous trio of chocolate. Everything was outstanding…from the professional attentive service to the outstanding preparation, freshness and taste of the food. Cheers! We just cannot rave enough about he delicious food and fabulous service. We ended up spending three hours here! Definitely the best spot in Aruba.

Absolutely the worst service on the island of Aruba. This has always been one of our favorite . Service, food and musical entertainment has always been top notch. Last year we noticed a big difference, but decided to try it again this year. Never again.
There are too many excellent places to dine to waste your time and money here.

i've been there a few times. each time hoping that the new chef or the new management would change things back to when it truly was a fine place 5 years ago. sure the place is beautiful and its in a great spot but for my money there are much better places to eat on the island. do yourself a favor and look at the view during lunch or drinks and find somewhere else for dinner

Dear Jim, I owed you this review still, but better late than never....

We had dinner in Ventanas earlier this year and Jim cooked a great 5 course tasting menu for us while enjoying a nice bottle of champagne. The setting is just fantastic (outside) and romantic, overlooking the golf course. We had the flash seared Tuna, Sweet and sour Coconut Soup and Duck, Jim's signature dishes. The service was outstanding, this is truly a restaurant that deserves a place in the top 10. Keep it up!

We ate here earlier this month and had a wonderful dining experience.

The atmosphere is lovely. We sat outside but not at a table overlooking the pool, as the restaurant was busy. This was the only place where I was bitten by mosquitoes, so you might want to use repellent.

My friend ordered the veal chop and I had the salmon. Both were wonderfully presented and delicious. For dessert, I had the peanut butter chocolate brownie at the waiter's recommendation. It was just okay, as it was a bit dry.

A violinist played for us tableside and for most of the evening, played inside, where we could still hear him.

Service was good, attentive but not overly so. We would definitely and highly recommend it.
