The West Deck

We’ve been going to Aruba for 30 years and dined from Terra Del Sol and the Ritz To Charley’s...West Deck is a must. Start by meeting Harlem, Franklin, Francisco and the rest of the friendly staff, just share appetizers, have a sandwich or a full meal, enjoy the pitter-patter of the water and maybe catch a Cruise Ship going by and planes bringing in soon to be happy vacationers. Entertainment every night, or at least every night we’ve been there, dress casual(the staff wears great T-shirts) and you won’t drain your wallet. Not gourmet, Just Really Good and a Funtime!!!...

A wonderful hidden gem!! Hands down our best meal while we were on the island. Very friendly staff, casual atmosphere, great prices, right on the water. What more can you ask for!! Well worth the visit!!

We were looking for an inexpensive place near our hotel for a lighter meal. Found this place on the internet with good reviews. An easy walk from the Ocean Suits Renaissance. Great view on the water @ sunset & activity on the water. Anne & Monica, our servers, were delightful and helpful. Started with drinks that were twice the size of drinks at most bars and delicious. Ordered from starters and sandwich menu with additional sides. Grouper fingers were large and great. Conch fritters were very good. I had a lobster & crab roll which was hugh and wonderful. I highly recommend this place. After 6 trips to Aruba I finally found a place that has it all!

We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at West Deck, local food, especially the Keshi Yena was awesome! The location can not be beat. Service with a smile, the owners are the best! Can't wait to go back! A great Aruba experience..you are in for a treat!

Had lunch at the West Deck and did not want to leave. The view, the food, the staff; could not ask for more. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I spent our last two nights at the Renaissance Hotel. We walked to the West Deck after sunset. We were very pleased with the quality of the food. We bumped into a couple who we had met on our plane trip to Aruba. They also ate at the West deck their last night and loved it, too. I think the service needs a little attention, maybe more wait staff. They became very busy after we had arrived.

Had dinner at West Deck last night (29.11). Surroundings were wonderful overlooking the beach. We had not reserved a table and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait. Food and service were great.

This is our 4th visit and it just keeps getting better! We were so happy to have John as our waiter again. He is pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. Drinks were superb. Mike had the Governors Bay Beach Salad. I had the delicious Lobster and Stone Crab salad roll. For an appetizer we split the perfectly seasoned and lightly breaded calimari!
We will be back a few times during our stay again this year.

I'm ARUBIAN, and I absolutely will not return to this restaurant because it lacks service, the staff insult you and very discriminating , food wise the taste is good, price is not cheap, on the whole many other places to be treated with respect and at least service. Don't go there unless you. Realy have no choice
It's a pity as I personally know that the owners are fine people.

We had been there last year and loved it. This year I had heard that it was not as good but wanted to try it again. The surrounding are great. Service worse you can imagine. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and then it was cold. When the manager on duty kept coming over to ask how everything was and we told him it was cold he did not care. They took back ribs which were brought ice cold and brought it back minus the one rib I had bitten into before I realized it was cold. My husband's rice was served so hard he could not get his fork into it.The appetizer was delivered so cold that the cheese it was topped with was not even completely melted. On the way out one of the servers asked how everything was and we told him. He called over the manager who said he knew. No apology and certainly no offer of even a free drink or dessert for our bad experience. We WILL NOT return.
