Just imagine fresh fish caught that morning from the sparkling clear waters off the Aruban coast. Add to that imported Argentine meats, hand selected by the chef. Mix delicately with the herbs, spices and traditional ingredients of the Caribbean and finally combine it all with the knowledge and skill of a European trained chef.

Great Food - Moderate Prices - Ear Piercing L

Sep 28, 2017 - posted by
We love the fresh seafood, moderate prices and good service and know that you must make a reservation to get a seat. However if you want atmosphere or want a quiet meal, this is NOT the place for you.

The restaurant is small in size, table cramped together and the place reflects sound like an echo chamber. The real issue with the sound is the inconsiderate customers who really don't care about any other table's dining experience.

There are too many Couples that have no issue with bringing their screaming infants and toddlers to Wacky Wahoo and act like they don't hear the kids. Oh just because you make a dinner reservation for 8 or 8:30 pm, don't think that you will escape for the Parents don't care if they are waking up the infants to bring them there.

Next noise issue are the tipsy Senor Citizens who had been drinking at their time share since happy hour and have no problem screaming over each other to make their conversation point or tell some stupid story of the old days. Also to the middle age Women out there who like to mix wine with anti-deprecentants, enough with laughing like a Hyena even at your own jokes. Please shoot me if I ever get like that!

By Far Freshest Fish In Aruba

Wacky Wahoo's never disappoints. My wife had the Barracuda and I had the Barracuda & lobster special. Both were absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere is lively and service was outstanding. We will continue to make this one of our must go to restaurants when in Aruba.

Best Place on the Island!

Jan 2, 2016 - posted by
This was our second trip to Aruba in two years and this is by far our favorite restaurant! We ate here twice last year and twice this year as well! The restaurant is very casual and fun, yet the food is like that you would find at a fine dining establishment! Their catch of the day was swimming in the ocean earlier that morning...and that freshness shows! The ceviche is phenomenal and even the focaccia bread that starts out the meal is good! I can't say enough good things about the staff, service, food, or atmosphere...this place is a real hidden gem!! Make sure you stop by early in the week to make a reservation (or two) because if you don't, you will miss out on one of the best meals you could have!

Best in Aruba

Just called long distance to reserve for night we arrive. It is simply the best in Aruba. Reservations a must. Even with expansion it is still crowded. But oh that wahoo special. And the ceviche is enough for two. We just love it.

Great place for lunch

Food was very good, service was attentive and people watching was great. Always something going on in this restaurant. A very popular and busy place that allows you to relax after a day in Oranjestad.

A must try!!!!!!!!!!

Mar 3, 2015 - posted by
The cult classic Wacky Wahoo always lives up to the hype. In a strip mall, no online reservations when reservations are a must, and hard to get through on the phone but still a must try. Recently expanded, not many more tables but a small waiting area and bar with approx 4 seats. If headed to Aruba approach your concierge upon check-in and have them get you a reservation at some point during your trip, or contact the concierge prior to your arrival and have them start working on it because it books up very fast.
Casual decor and attire rule in this laid back restaurant. The fresh local fish is the reason to go although they do have stuff on the menu for non-fish eaters. They will show you a chalk board with the local catch of the day and you could have it prepared many different ways. Service can be a little slow but nothing out of the ordinary for the islands. Portions are large and the prices are very good. Our table had three grouper dishes, one veal chop, a wahoo special with a crabcake and tiger shrimp. The crab cake was the only item that was not liked. Overall another fantastic dinner at the wacky Wahoo. We will never miss it when in Aruba!
