Yemanja Woodfired Grill
Aruba-s only wood-fired grill restaurant! Beautifully situated in downtown Oranjestad, behind the Renaissance Hotel. Yemanja is relaxing and welcoming, with a passion for tradition and excellence. Seating is either inside (air-conditioned) or outside on a cozy terrace. Serving innovative Caribbean cuisine. Locally-caught fish, shrimp, prime cuts of beef, lamb, pork, duck and poultry are all prepared over a wood fire using mesquite and hickory. Also our appetizers & salads are a real treat! The result is succulent, tender and flavorful dishes that only wood-fire grilling can produce.
We hope we may welcome you soon here in Yemanja.

Very nice servers and an overall good restaurant. I think the reason I did not score it higher was that I did not care for my pork which was served with an unexpected brown gravy that did not taste so great. That said, I started with an amazing tuna sashimi appetizer. My husband had the grouper as an entree which was fantastic. The best grouper on the island and we had grouper a lot! We would go back to this restaurant again and I bet it would be a 10!

What a lovely restaurant. We were anxious to try it, having read the reviews on this site, so I made reservations before we flew to Aruba. We had such a good meal there that when our friends joined us in Aruba, we took them there. They reserved a perfect table for us outside. It was surrounded by foliage with little colored lights and was sheltered from the wind. Once again, the food was wonderful. I LOVED food cooked over the wood-fired grill. Our friends said that this was probably the best meal they had in Aruba. I agree. I'm not sure about wheelchair access to the restrooms, but the restaurant itself is fine for that. The inside of the restaurant is lovely, too.

What a wonderful experience. The food was seasoned impeccably and the atmosphere was lovely. Our waiter was quite friendly, service was quick and the food great. My husband had the grouper, which was light and flaky and I had the rib eye..so nice on the wood fire grill. Best restaurant on the island.

We had dinner 5 days ago because it's very close to the hotel. Nice little place but nothing special. The kids had to wait forever for the food.We like Gaucho and Driftwood much better.

What a great find!! We ate here 3 times in the 2 weeks we were in Aruba. The food was excellent with a clean presentatation and finally a restaurant in Aruba that doesn't drown everything in heavy sauces. Very accomodating to my husbands garlic allergy. The taste the wood fired grill give the food is excellent. Prices were excellent.

We were looking forward to trying this Restraunt and left disappointed. We found the food and service just OK and the portions small. Cross this one off your list.

Best meal we had on Aruba. We liked it so much we went back a second time and it was just as good! On our first visit we had the beef tenderloin, the rib eye steak and the rack of lamb for entrees and the chocolate mousse and grilled mango for dessert. All were exceptional - almost didn't need a knife for the meat! Our second visit we had shrimp and fish which were again outstanding. Tried the lime creme caramel and the chocolate brownie which were fantastic. Yemanja rivals Madame Janette's as our favorite restaurant in Aruba!

Best meal we had in Aruba. My steak was delicious and marinated to perfection. My wife's chicken was very good, and my 6-year-old had pasta. Service was attentive.

This was the best meal we had during our recent late January visit to Aruba. The service and food were both excellent.
