Yemanja Woodfired Grill

This is one of the best meals that I have had on Aruba! I had the seafood moqueca. Since I can't eat grouper, they substituted mahi-mahi. It was in a very light sauce. My husband's shrimp salad had 3 huge shrimp over a wonderful salad followed by the tenderloin. They were very willing to substitute pan-fried potatoes for the garlic mashed. The white/chocolate mousse was excellent. Service was exemplary - better than anywhere we have eaten in 6 visits to Aruba (going out every night that we are there). The prices are extremely reasonable. The building was completely reconstructed - very Caribbean. The owner was previously a chef at Marandi. Everything was superb!!!!

What a truly wonderful, friendly place. We enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time. We ate inside one night and outside the other night both were great. The grilled mango desert was to die for.

Based on board reviews, we had choose Yemanja for the four of us to celebrate a 49th birthday. We were not disappointed. We were seated prompted, service was friendly and prompt and the food was fabulous. Meals included Lamb, steak, seafood and pasta. Evening was culminated with a brownie desert served with a sparkler to honor our parties birthday. If you have not been here you are missing something special.

BEST LAMB ON THE ISLAND IMHO...QUE PASA WAS DUMPY. THEY REDID THE RESTERAUNT, UPSCALED IT..MADE IT A DO NOT MISS....

2/8/2008: Tried this restaurant for the first time this year. It was great. Preferred to eat inside. All our dinners were different and delicious. It will be on our list for next years trip to Aruba.

We had a wonderful, it was so good, we decided to eat there for New Years Eve, The Bartender was friendly and knowlegable about the Island.

The lamb was the best I have had and the flavor of the wood made it melt in your mouth. The fish was fresh tender and flavorful.

The Port and Walnut Icecream topped off the meal.

The Cockburns will be back!

We went already twice to this restaurant! Otherwise we never do but now we did. The interior as wel as the exterior is very nicely decorated. The local fish, the catch of the day especially together with the garlic meshed potatoes, tasted like heaven... thanks to the fact that everything is made on a woodfired grill. The orginal presentation and the very friendly staff convinced us that we will return for sure to this restaurant the next time we go to Aruba!

This was a very pleasent surprise. The wood grill was great as were the sauces. We ate there twice and left really impressed. One of a few restaurents on Aruba that rates with excellent rest. anywhere in the states

The food was wonderful! And I was completely flabbergasted about the service I wanted to take my little waitress home with me but I think she went to Holland. Even though the restaurant is small it's lovely and we'll be back!

we went tiwce to this restaurant! The first time me and my wife the second time we went there with the whole family. Both times we had a great time!The staff is very friendly and alert on everything! The food is amazing! The flavoour of the woodfired grill is wonderfull! The presentation as well! We can say to everyone try this new restaurant because we have found it and go back for sure the next time we are on Aruba!
