My wife and I ate at The Flying Fish Bone during our recent trip to Aruba. This Restaurant is located about 100 feet from The Old Man and The Sea where we also ate. I would rate The FFB below OMS for food and the environment. We were first seated at a table that was not level and had stones under one leg in a weak attempt to fix the situation. The chairs were also very off balance due to the piles of sand. At the other beach restaurants where we ate this was not a problem. We asked to move to another table that was better but still not level. Another couple was then seated at our original table and they had the same problem because they kept moving their chairs around the table during their meal in an attempt to find a more comfortable position. The food was good, but the crowding of tables took away from the experience. A neighborhood dog also was allowed to walk around the tables as we ate. I feel that the Flying Fish Bone is a good restaurant that has over marketed itself and lost the attention to details such as the comfort of its patrons.

Don't miss the opportunity to dine at this wonderful restaurant. Book an outside table in time to watch the sunset over the water. The service is excellent and the food delicious and fresh.

If I could only eat at one restaurant while visiting Aruba, this would have to be it. Just a warning, it's located at the very south end of the island, so it'll take a go 30 minutes to get there.

Once you walk in, you're taken to your table out on the beach. My wife and I sat literally one foot from the ocean water. We both loved the little cages to hang your flip flops on. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I had the rock lobster which was just outstanding. We finished with an order of the apple crisp which was also very good. For the ambiance alone, this was an excellent place.

This is the best restaurant on the island of aruba! We visit aruba on average of 4-5 timer per year and there are a few close seconds. Everything was great from no wait time to be served to great hospality, to awesome food and a spectacular view while dining. This is two thumbs up. PERFECT! I made reservations for my 40th birthday, I am a 20 year Soldier, still deployed - all I wanted was mussels and oysters on the half shell. They mention they don’t like children - I took my 20, 14 and 11 year old. There was a screaming baby there upon my arrival. We were seated 10 feet from then ocean but they stated they had no mussels or oysters, even though they were on the menu. So what did dad do? I just sat there and drank wine, and tipped 20% for the meal that the rest of the family had. You only have a 40th birthday once! So, if a restaurant is incapable of serving what’s on the menu because something is out of season then they should go to the local market and get it!! I’m pissed that this establishment has the high standards of not wanting children but that they are unable to simply serve what is on the menu. If you have a yellow ribbon on your car and truly care about us as Soldiers then don’t patronize this establishment.

We read the reviews and decided The Flying Fishbone was a must to experience. It was better than described. This was one of the most memorable eating experiences ever between the beautiful sunset, beach front table, exceptional service and delicious food and desserts. Our appetizers included the Corn Chowder, Caribbean Salad, Escargots and Shrimp Roti with great satisfaction. The Savaneta Seafood History was fantastic as were the Grilled Shrimp and Catch of the Day. We shared both dark and White Chocolate Mousses. The timing of the service was perfect and made you so relaxed you didn't want to leave. It's worth the drive.

As annual visitors to Aruba, this is a spot we never miss. There is not a more beautiful spot on the island than sitting on the beach at a table at Flying Fishbone at the waters edge as the most dramatic sunset ou have ever witnessed appears before you. Be sure to plan your reservation early enough to enjoy the sunset - otherwise, you are missing out! The servers are as nice as they come - but be prepared to spend a while. You are not rushed a this restaurant, service is comfortably slow - so you can enjoy the atmosphere. The food is terrific, needless to say, the catch of the day and other seafood is highly recommended. The shrimp special (most ordered item) is great. Don't forget the corn and clam chowder for an appetizer - it is the best I have ever had. Could make a meal just from that! It is a trip from the hi rise area - about 30 minutes - so plan accordingly. Be sure to ask for a waterside table - and don't forget your camera - take a picture at sunset on the rocks at the right hand corner of the beach area in the water! Enjoy.

We knew as we approached the front desk that this would be a singular experience. My expectation was first class once I saw the table arrangement on the sand. Cara and I had the middle table on the beach. We felt like everything focused on us, even though there were other couples present. The view was unparalleled - our sunset that evening was spectacular - enjoyed as the waves gently lapped at our toes. They even provided a sandal and purse rack. The food - the best restaurant food we had the week we were in Aruba. We'll dine there again one day!

Truly a unique and wonderful dining experience. We highly recommend it! The service is first class( ask for Joseph). The setting is incredible. You're dining with your feet in the ocean, your loved one by your side and watching a beautiful sunset... Extremely romantic and makes for great pictures. From the appetizers through desert, the food was delicious. The presentation is great too. Make it a point to have dinner here while visiting the "Happy Island", you will not be disappointed. Enjoy the friendly and relaxing atmosphere at this one of a kind restaurant.
