As a tradition my wife Sally and I stay on Aruba for one week in May. Since the last 7 years we celebrate our last night in the Flying Fishbone. We have never been disappointed but the last time was awesome! Though not on the menu we requested a 5 course carte blanche and it was wow! A culinary travel around the world from oyster to the white chocolate cheese cakeā€¦ The atmosphere is out of this world.

We dined at the Flying Fishbone this week while in Aruba. We brought our 2 kids (ages 12 and 9). We arrived and found the staff to be a bit uptight and attributed that to the fact that our 2 kids were with us. I do not feel they welcome anyone under the age of 12, and my 9 year old is very mature! They don't take American Express -- and were very vocal about it, before you even dine. The lobster bisque was a bit too thin, there weren't any salads on the menu - but a dinner salad was available. 10oz lobster tail was cooked perfectly, but portion very small for towering price of $42.50. Deserts all $9.50, portions again small. Beach/enviornment was great, didn't notice any ants... ride from high rise hotels almost 45 minutes and a $26 taxi.

I came to this restaurant for my Anniversary and was not disappointed. The view was unbelievable. The food was very good and well worth the price. I had the Saveneta Seafood History and my wife had the fried Sea Scallops in a black & white sauce. Service was great, everyone was so attentive. I would recommend this restaurant over and over again. Ants were out but the experience overpowered that 1 setback.

The site was amazing, BUT - they lost my reservation, but took care of us. The food was fouled up, the portions small and as a chef - not very complicated for the cost. The view was the best. The server was lost, the food did not come out together and the ants were everywhere. While I know that eating out has it drawbacks it was bad.

Great atmosphere & a wonderful time was had by our entire group visiting your restaurant and Aruba! Many of our group visited the Flying Fishbone - having great service and more importantly wonderful & deliciously prepared fresh food with delightful beverages! The appetizers are so generous it's just like having a meal. Several came back for a second & third visit - just in one week of time. And most of all we all loved Aruba... One Happy Island! We had our 10th anniversary dinner here last week. The setting is very beautiful, the service and food quite good until about 20 minutes before sunset. With our perfect view on the west side of the beach, we were constantly interrupted by a flow of diners seated elsewhere surrounding our table to take photos -- even interrupting our meal for us to snap a photo of them! Plus, the waitstaff is constantly stopped to take photos, slowing service. We'd go back for the food and overall ambiance, but insist on being seated upstairs on the deck or on the east side of the beach for privacy.

We went to Flying Fishbones in April. We were there for sunset. Our children are older, 9-13. They loved that they could take their shoes off and hang them on the little holder. Some of the tables are literally in the water! The atmosphere was relaxing & calm. We watched the sunset while eating our appetizers. The food was wonderful. My children loved their meals and so did I. The chocolate mousse was delicious! I wish I had a bowl right now! Out of all the restaurants we went to in Aruba, this was one of the top three.

On our recently concluded first visit to Aruba, my wife Jean chose the Flying Fishbone to celebrate her birthday. It was a good choice. The food and service were fantastic, the atmosphere funky and fun and the view was wonderful.
My wife had read on-line that there was sometimes an issue with not being able to get a beach table even with a reservation, but we had no problem. I told the person seating us that we were happy about that because it was my wife's birthday celebration. Later, when the waitperson brought our dessert, it was accompanied by a sparkling birthday candle and a charming 'Happy Birthday" spelled out in chocolate drizzle on a plate. Needless to say, my wife was very pleased.
Great place, great meal, great time - don't miss the Flying Fishbone!
