We went for my wife's birthday then I read this review... We must have had the same waitress the next day...The sunset, the setting, the food, was outstanding. we loved it. but now the bad news.

The waitness must of had a hang over (she needs a new career). She got lost for long periods of time. Other waitstaff picked up on it and helped out. Honestly if it weren't for the food we would of walked out with out leaving a tip.

The table next to us had a great waiter. So i wish you luck on the service. But do go there. its great!

I had the wonderful experience of dining at the Flying Fishbone the last day of my first trip to Aruba. The setting, the beautiful sunset and the delicious food made it a truly unforgettable experience.
The apptizer, main course and dessert were excellent, and service was good. The Flying Fishbone is great dining. Can't wait til next time.

We loved this restaurant. The food was excellent and it was fun eating on the beach. We liked it the best of all the restaurants we ate at during our vacation.
The only drawback I can think of is that the waiter asked us if we wanted salads with our dinner and they turned out to be $12.50 each. I thought that was a little pricey. I guess I could have asked what they cost before I ordered.

Great setting, OK food and terrible service. Waitress was disinterested in making it a good experience. Not friendly and no smiles. What a shame because this was the restaurant that we were the most excited about going to on our first visit to Aruba. Also made online reservations but did have any when we confirmed by the hotel.

Just returned from Aruba, and ate here on Friday2/22. I made my reservation online and reconfirmed from my hotel. The taxi ride was long and costly, but it was really worth it. There were 3 adults who had a variety of food from the mussels (excellent) to the lobster salad. We all thought the main courses were pricey but delicious. The atmosphere was unbelievable, along with the sunset. I don't recommend taking kids, but overall a great place.
We will definately be going back. Don't forget to check when sunset will be, then reserve a table 1/2 hour earlier..just fabulous!!

This is pricey restaurant that serves food that is average. The view is what you are paying for. The wait is long but worth a trip if you want to experience dining with an ocean view. (view not exceptional though) We had the lobster bisque (very good with nice amount of lobster (thin broth though- $9.50). My husband had grilled scallops (with mashed potatoes and a rich cream sauce- $30)- good. I had a dish with a variety of seafood with a light tomato sauce $30- good.) We had the apple pie for dessert which was the best part of the meal. I won't go back but a nice place to visit once.

This is by far our favorite restaurant in Aruba. It is out of the way, but absolutely worth the drive. The food is exquisite, the view unbeatable, and the service friendly and helpful. I would be reluctant to let everyone in on what a great restaurant this is, but I guess it's not really a secret, and I wanted to show my appreciation to the chefs, waitstaff and managers!

We went to Aruba in February of 2008 and decided we had to try this romantic place. The view is beautiful and eating right next to the ocean was fun (we even saw crabs on the rocks next to the tables). HOWEVER, the food is horrible and service is slow at best. We spent over two hours at the restaurant for appetizer and main course. The water girls are wonderful, but we could never find our waiter. It took over 20 minutes to bring us the receipt after we gave him our credit card. We ordered the mussels (no flavor) and the lobster bisque which was pretty good. We then ordered shrimp/lobster kebobs (bad) and the seafood history (inedible). I don't recommend this to anyone...do one of the "fun bus" trips instead!!!!

My husband, daughter and myself just returned from a week in Aruba. We took our daughter there for her 30th birthday. My husband made reservations for 6:00 P.M. on Jan. 25,2008, which was our daughter's birthday. The sunset was beautiful!! When my husband made the reservations prior to leaving Pa., he had told the reservationist that it was our daughter's 30th birthday, and they were going to have something special for her special day. The food was mediocre at best. One plate of food had to be returned to the kitchen, the meat was so fatty and gristly. The food is overpriced, diners are paying for atmosphere only. The special birthday treat never came. Our waitress was terrible, so bad, my husband refused to leave a tip. Never has done that in his 60 years of age. I highly don't recommend this restaurant.
