Situated atop of the Hudishibana hill right next to Aruba’s most famous landmark the California lighthouse is our hidden gem. The Faro Blanco Restaurant which once was the dwellings of the lighthouse keeper now serves Aruba and it's guests the best in Italian cuisine.

As the only restaurant boasting this unique location, guests can enjoy a truly unspoiled view over Aruba’s west coast untouched nature. The sunset and views over Aruba create a spectacular palette of colors, ideal for taking pictures and creating new and lasting memories.

We went here on our honeymoon. Waited a long while to be seated despite having researvations. The view was lovely, though, and we got some nice pictures from the bar while we waited. Once seated, the service was sub par, the food took forever and was undercooked, and at one point the wind knocked a tray of drinks over and the glasses broke by my feet. While the mess was cleaned up, no one even asked to see ifI was okay. Dessert was pretty awful too. I am going back to Aruba in October and WILL NOT be making a trip back here, not even for the views.

not cazy at all about this restaurant. the view is beautiful, but after bad service, undercooked italian food (chewy), and tiny wine glasses for a 125 dollar bottle of tiganello, that view isnt so important.

this place needs to raise the bar a bit or its going to eventually put them out of business.

waitress was clueless, and non attentive. not being arrogant, but when someone orders an expensive bottle of wine, that should give her the idea to be attentive to us because we obviously are there to spend some good money.

maybe my expectations were just too high after hitting flying fishbone, popiamentos, and pago pago the nights before, but i just dont think the service and undercooked food can be overlooked.

the place is totally awesome.their waiter were all active and very polite,so to speak. i think its a filipino waiter.his hair is also fabulous..it shows fashion on it.he knows how to make us feel so at home while waiting for our food.
the thing that made me so up-set despite of very slow delivery of food was that...the food is not that appealing.i ordered carbonara and i forgot the menu for the fish..its terrible.i think in order to save the restaurants\\\' face..they better hire a new chef. if only they will hire a real italian chef and experienced perse\\\' they will gonna topple other restaurants in Aruba. the taste of the food is far different from the taste 3 years ago when we visited and ate they italian food.

Tip is automatically added to the bill but they list it as tax. Service wasn't great. Took the order, brought it much later, never checked on us in between.
We should have asked to eat on the covered porch. It was too windy to enjoy the meal.

YES, very windy the night we were there also. I was even hit by a woman's hat blown from two tables away.

Do not waste your time and money on the food.

Would NOT recommend for dinner!

WOULD recommend for drinks @ sunset!

We were definitely disappointed with this restaurant. First, be sure to check the wind conditions if you get seated on the lower terrace. We had to move our table, as the bread basket was blown away. After we moved under the overhang, the service was adequate, but the food was simply ordinary. There are definitely better places to enjoy your meals in Aruba. They also add a service charge, and then expect you to tip them on top of the service charge. They hide the service charge as tax on the bill. Make sure you ask, as there is no tax on meals in Aruba. Very sneaky. I would recommend having a drink and enjoying the view, and then move on to another restaurant for dinner.

We went the week of Oct 10th also and our experience was less than satisfying. Go look at the view and or sunset from the lighthouse and eat dinner elsewhere. Briefly, there was no manager on duty to assist with our messed up reservation. We encountered flies and had to put on bug spray. Two meals ok, one poor [had to be redone]. Worst part was the lack of management on site, as our waitress was just awful, and there was nothing to be done about it. They tip themselves the standard 15% added to the bill, so it seemed like why should they try and make the customer have a nice night. Out of 7 evening dinner meals this week, the experience here was the worst of the seven. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Also, there are better Italian restaurants on the Island. I have had plenty of Italian food to compare to and I rated the food only a 5.
