This place is off the beaten path, but well worth the journey! It is a breathtaking view and very romantic atmosphere. The food was excellent and the waitress was very accommodating. We highly recommend this place!

Many people recommended that we see the sunset from The Flying Fishbone and it is a truly beautiful experience. This was our first time in Aruba and we received many recommendations, but the one that kept coming up was "you must try The Flying Fishbone". As it is our last night of our honeymoon, we decided to spurge for the experience and the food. We arrived at 1700p to have a front row seat along the water. The food was only second to the ambiance & majesty of the open ocean, sea life among the rocks and the sand between our toes. We chose to have the "chef's selection" and have not been disappointed. (I am writing this review from the table as the tide tickles my toes.) The meal portions are generous and every bite was flavorful. We highly recommend this experience. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. We hope to return for our second honeymoon in a few years. (I recommend the scallops!) Ah, dessert has arrived...enjoy. (April 2011)

This has been the best anniversary ever.
One of the most romantic spots in Aruba. The food is spectacular and the service can't be beat. Try and get the tables on the shore. Nothing can beat the gentle waves, perfect sunset and delicious food. Will be back every year.

It is rare that we find someone who beats us to the punch, but RICH from BOSTON has done it. We returned to FLYIING FISHBONE last year and were quite pleased with it and hopeful that it would become a regular place to visit in ARUBA. This year, however, reminded us of why we had not come to this place for a while before last year. The key is that it lacks consistency. We gave it the test by going off the traditional meat/fish offering of their menu and they failed miserably. Spouse's meal was a special shrimp casserole type of dish and the sauce had broken - any chef of any integrity would have remade the dish and not served it because it looked bad and it tasted worse. The other dish was a veggy wrapped tortilla type of dish and it came to the table burned - again something that no credible chef should have served. RICH is also correct to note that the beach sand is eroding and shifting and seating on the beach is difficult in some spots. The view is nice, but, quite candidly, there are better views for dining in ARUBA and, for those who do not rent vehicles, the distant location makes a taxi ride a substantial added cost to your dinner. As a result of our experience we have written FLYING FISHBONE off of our list of restaurants to visit and much prefer their sister restaurant, SCREAMING EAGLE. What once was FLYING FISHBONE (WITHOUT THE VIEW) is now SCREAMING EAGLE - TAKE DUE NOTICE, AND CONDUCT YOURSELF ACCORDINGLY.
