the Best in Aruba--- we visit couple times a year, my wife has to go to Flying Fishbones and yes I love it , also.

I have relative, who is a chef and owns a restaurant in Martha's Vinyard, MA, he told us about this restaurant sais it was GREAT do not miss it. He was right.

Last year we had a person in a wheelchair with us, they set us a nice table by the bar--enjoyable evening

My husband and I dined here in Sept. 2010. Of all the reservations I made for the five days we were going to be in Aruba I was most excited about this one. Turns out I was the most disappointed with this one. They seated us on the beach, just barely out of the restaurant, in-between two large, loud parties (one with 4-5 children). The tables are crammed in the beach area so we basically heard every word the tables next to us said all evening. It was rather warm that night and even though we were on the beach, since we were very close to the building and the other tables, there was no breeze. Having the tables so close together was also a problem when the couple behind us started smoking. The food (we both ordered fish) was very good but I really couldn't enjoy it because of the loudness and the heat. We would have liked to order dessert, but we just wanted to get our check and leave. Also (of course this isn't FF fault) be aware that there are bugs on any beach in the evening and that you should wear bug spray because we were getting bites while sitting there. Our server was pleasant enough but not very attentive. That is how we felt about our greeting from the hostess staff when we arrived as well...pleasant but not very welcoming. This is certainly not a bad restaurant...the food is good, but just keep in mind that it will not be the romantic beach dining experience you might think it will be.

Not worth the trip! We've been going to FF since they first opened more than 10 years ago. (Under the original owners this place was Heaven. Magical!) Things have changed. The food was not nearly as good as we've eaten elsewhere on Aruba. FF is now a very commercial setting - tight seating and a kitchen that doesn't keep up with the waitstaff. We waited way too long for our server to bring us our orders. The rather laidback staff at the reservation desk didn't seem to have ever been trained on making a first impression. Strictly amateurs. (Hint - Smiles help ladies.) After the long ride, we've decided never again. Luckily we rent a car and didn't have to pay the high cost of a round trip cab ride. The menu is expensive and their wine list is way out of line compared to what other businesses are charging for the exact same bottles elsewhere in Aruba. As for kids climbing amongst the chairs to get to the beach for fun time - the only 10 rating I can give FF is for it being 'childfriendly'. Jeesh! What ever happened to romance.

Dinner at Flying
It was so good. The view of the sunset is better at Marandi’s but the overall “feel” is better at FF, even though it’s more packed with guests.
I had the Lobster and my wife had the Shrimp shii-take & blue cheese casserole, both were absolutely excellent(we change the place at half time) We had brilliant white wine to the seafood.

The Flying Fishbone was a wonderful dining experience for our family of 5. We had a table in the sand and were there in time to catch the beautiful sunset. The food was delicious, the service leisurely (as we like) and the view can't be beat. You will get sand on you and this is an open air restaurant so spray with bug spray before you go. The tables that were closer to the water were a little too much for our comfort but others seem to enjoy them.

My husband and I ate here on our first trip to Aruba and were not disappointed. The setting of the restaurant was so unique and beautiful; we were there to see the sunset and it was really nice. Food was good, and our waitress was wonderful, didn't rush you through your meal, let you take your time. Will definitely return on our next trip to Aruba.
