Que Pasa? - Restaurant - Bar & Art Gallery
Que Pasa Restaurant & Winebar has been a culinary institute since 1992. The restaurant is located in a historical merchant house in downtown Oranjestad, and its menu features a tasty variety of international specials, as well as freshly made sushi from their Dragonfly sushi station. Chef Michelle and her team go out of their way to make every night a culinary experience. The in-house wine connoisseur happily assists you in pairing the perfect wine with your dinner choice. At Que Pasa you will feel welcome and have a great time for sure. The friendly staff will serve you with a smile. And the food experience will keep you talking about it, even long after your visit.

After reading the reviews here and on the recommendations from the Bucuti staff I decided to try Que Pasa. As someone who is an avid cook as well as someone who frequents varied eating establishments, I have to say hands down, this was the best restaurant Ive been to in a Aruba and one of the best Ive ever been to period. The food was outstanding and all perfectly (and freshly) prepared and presented. tomato soup, onion soup, fried brie, beef tips, sweet and sour pork, fried pineapple, and the poche creme brulee were all to die for.The way the flavors were combined with each other yet never overpowering each other made each dish better than the next. The drinks from the bar were equally spectacular and the service from all the waitstaff was by far the best on the island. After my meal I told the server (I wish I could remember all thier names, but they were all beautiful) to give my compliments to the chef, to my suprise she brought him out and I got to thank him personally and he even gave me a recipe for one of the dishes I had that night (after begging of course). After eating and drinking my fill, The check showed up :( . I opened it only to discover the bill was about HALF what I had expected it to be from all the food and drink. So my hats are off to this establishement and I will now have to try their sister restaurant Yemanja before I leave. Thanks Again!!

This group of restaurants (Marandi, Yemanja. Que Pasa) are all well-managed and professionally run operations. This was our first trip to Que Pasa and we were very happy with our meals. My wife's seafood sampler and my skirt-steak were both well prepared and delicious. The seafood was topped with fennel and herbs and featured grouper, wahoo, and barracuda, My steak cooked to perfection and served with a great chimchurri sauce. In comparison to the other "sister" restaurants, Que Pasa is more casual and reasonably priced but a great place to eat more than once while in Aruba.

wow - what a difference ! The night before we had been in another Top 10 restaurant and had been disappointed by the unprofessional service and the poor environment.
Que Pasa offers excellent food in a most friendly fashion and a wonderful ambiance. No doubt, we will come back !

Was told to go here 1st when i got to Aruba and im so glad i did. We went back 4 times in 7 days because it was so good. It is/was the best meal i have ever eaton. And we did eat at the best/most expensive restaurants on the entire island and this place was by far the best, hands down. Dont wait till the last day to go their, you will regret it because you wont be able to go back.. Good Eats

This is maybe the 10th time we went to Que Pasa but every time it is a great experience!
Yesterday we had a wonderful diner and perfect service! We started at the bar with some homemade breadroles with aioli and tapenade. We had sashimi what was different but very tasty! Tenderloin was outstanding, and the lamsrack was gorgeous. We did not have dessert, but I know from experience that those are delicious. This artgallery is great and you cannot leave without buying a souvenir!

Keep on the good work Que Pasa!

Que Pasa was recommended to us from the Bucuti concierge. We had every night filled for dinner except our very last evening and wanted to go somewhere 'different' where we could get a taste of Aruban cuisine. We could not have chosen a better way to spend our last dinner on the island!! After a VERY POOR experience at Madame Janette (MJ) the evening prior, we already rated Que Pasa above that restaurant starting when we sat down!!
You have the option of eating upstairs where it is open-air and VERY WARM or downstairs in the AC. We chose downstairs by the windows overlooking the street. The restaurant was not busy at all and we basically had most of the downstairs to ourselves. A single candle offered a somewhat romantic feel and the bottle of wine was delicious and much cheaper than the wine we had at MJs! We had two servers, one being new--her first night and she did an excellent job! My husband and I both had 'specials'. The best part is that they have like 4 different types of entrees on special and 2 different special appetizers and a special dessert apart from what is offered on their regular menu. (The menu is also in 'newspaper' format and they allow you take it with you--makes for a great souvenir!) The food was INCREDIBLE!!! We both loved our dishes and chose to go with dishes that were 'aruban' instead of pasta or just fish, but they had so many options on the menu! The side dishes were a nice touch and the bread as well with the different types of spread and dips with it! For dessert, we got the choc mousse which was outstanding and they had no issues adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream at our request and making the whole plate look very presentable :) The best part of the evening was when we walked around the restaurant finishing our wine while looking at the local artwork adorning the walls, most of which was for sale and at reasonable prices. We bought three different pieces for a total of $115! Best part is that you don't need a cab to get there. You can take the bus to the bus station and then it's just a short walk down from the Radisson on the marina and about two streets in from the main road. The food was fansastic, the service was top-notch and we are ecstatic to add this restaurant to our list when we return to Aruba---hands down WAY better than MJ!! A local gem!!

A wonderful cheerful restaurant. The staff are very friendly, and the food is outstanding. A quaint little place filled to the brim with local artpieces, service may be bit slow- island style!! But worth the wait!!
