Que Pasa? - Restaurant - Bar & Art Gallery
Que Pasa Restaurant & Winebar has been a culinary institute since 1992. The restaurant is located in a historical merchant house in downtown Oranjestad, and its menu features a tasty variety of international specials, as well as freshly made sushi from their Dragonfly sushi station. Chef Michelle and her team go out of their way to make every night a culinary experience. The in-house wine connoisseur happily assists you in pairing the perfect wine with your dinner choice. At Que Pasa you will feel welcome and have a great time for sure. The friendly staff will serve you with a smile. And the food experience will keep you talking about it, even long after your visit.

There is nothing like Que Pasa!

Since 1992 we are more than regular guests to this island and frequent the local restaurants several times a week. If we are here for only one week we always have our favorites to dine out at least one time.

The only restaurant we will always visit at least twice is Que Pasa. Why? Because it's simply the best in every aspect. The superb service, no matter we arrive as a couple to dine at the cosy bar area or with the kids in the restaurant. The team will take care of every need. The kitchen is the most stable one at the island and every dish is superb and so fresh.

In more than 20 years they never disappointed us and everything is possible. Straight away, without hesitation. For us, demanding eaters with changing wishes, this is an absolute delight.

Last Thursday we went to QP for their Sushi night, outstanding! A pitty that a week on this island is always a couple of days too short...

What a letdown

I was looking for a great meal for me and my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we decided on this restaurant due to the menu options and it being so highly rated. I ordered the beef and reef. I have to say that no part of my meal was good. My steak had no flavor even with the sauce they present it with. My 2 shrimp were not good. One piece of fish had bones still in it and the other was so dry I actually had to cut it with a knife it tasted like an overcooked porkchop.

We sat with our unfinished food for at least a half hour before we were approached and asked how our food was. I rarely complain but had to on this occasion. I was asked if I would like some free coffee or tea!! When I declined they asked what they could do to make the expirience better. I told them they could remove part of the meal from the bill or pay for a cab back to the hotel since we came to the area (downtown Oranjestad) just to have a quality meal. The woman said she would go talk to the manager. She returned and said that the manager offered to give us a free desert. I again declined there offer as me and my wife were just ready to leave at this point.

The woman returned with our bill for the meals. The full priced bill. I was going to pay with a credit card but after waiting for a couple minutes and being so disgusted by the whole expirience I just tossed the cash on the table and walked out.

This was our second time dining at Que Pasa? and we will definitely go back again. Crab cake appetizer, Beef and Reef for dinner and the brownie desert with ice cream were fantastic and very flavorful. Our servers Angela, Charrell and Simone were friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our evening with them.

Wonderful As Usual

This is our 7th visit to One Happy Island and no visit would be complete without a meal at Que Pasa? In fact, we like it so much we have been there twice this visit! The food is very, very good. The presentation is very nice and the young Dutch crew is always welcoming and incredibly pleasant. Try the banana fritters for dessert. They are to die for!

BEST FOOD OF OUR ENTIRE ARUBA TRIP

Apr 19, 2012 - posted by
My girlfriend and I spent 5 nights in Aruba and ate out every night for dinner. Que Pasa was the best meal we had on the Island. If you go, you have to try their tomato soup, it's amazing. Also the presentation of their dishes makes you feel like you are dining in an exclusive Four Seasons restaurant. The atmosphere gives off a local and hometown feeling, and the entire staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There isn't a thing I would change about Que Pasa. You guys have done an amazing job with your restaurant, the menu, and the selection of your staff. Thanks for making our trip to Aruba so special.

Que Pasa is the place to be when you are on the one happy island, friendly staff and owners and the food is excellent. When i'm on Aruba i'll always eat at Que Pasa because the food is amazing from fish to steak to dessert. When you come in there's is a nice bar with a friendly barman to drink a good glas of wine and to eat a apetizer before you go to your table. Que Pasa gives you the feeling to be in paradise by a colorfull atmosphere and great serivice.

I have been going to Que Pasa ever since it opened (in numerous locations downtown). They never disappoint us and I usually dine there several times while we are there every year. Food is excellent from the fish to the steak. The tataky is marvelous!!!! The desserts are out of this world from the banana fritters to a special they had one night of poached pears. Marvin, keep up the good work!

OMG!
Our best meal in Aruba since we have been going there from 2004. Que Pasa is not a mexican restaurant. I had chicken liver pate for an appetizer, and then WOW! the crusted wahoo...Never had anything sooooooooooooo good!
Marvin & Lotte are the best. You have to have a drink at the bar first to watch the Ohio Basketball game 1st! lol!
We also send some friends there for their last night on the island and they said it was their best meal they had all week. So, please go to Que Pasa! It's worth the detour from Palm Beach Aruba.........Thanks Marvin for your great hospitality, and Lotte for your great service and pretty smile.........Manon & Greg from Dayton Ohio.
Marvin, nous irons te voir en fevrier 2013. Milles Merci!
